The Sheldon Shelter Fund

Almost every day we hear someone at the shelter say, “I wish I could bring every one of these animals home, but I just can’t.  How can I help?”

Sheldon thought the same thing.  Sheldon was a puppy – a beautiful, lucky puppy starting life in a wonderful home with a WHS supporter.  They were so happy – and they wanted to share their happiness with animals in need.

Sheldon couldn’t bring all the other animals home with him, but he could help them in another way.

He and his mom created the Sheldon Shelter Fund. Sheldon’s Shelter Fund is a way for lucky people and animals to share their happiness with animals who are waiting to find people of their own.

If your home is already filled with the love of an animal or if you love animals and can’t adopt right now, consider sharing your love by donating to the Sheldon Shelter Fund.   The Sheldon Shelter Fund supports the care of thousands of animals who are waiting to find their forever homes.  Sheldon is even matching a portion of donations to his fund every year!

Every year, the Wisconsin Humane Society finds homes for more than 10,000 homeless animals. To support their care through the Sheldon Shelter Fund, click here or email Sarah at strudeau@wihumane.org. You can also donate in honor of someone special and send them an e-card to let them know.

Volunteers Needed

We are currently in high need of foster parents to care for either dogs or cats ranging in age and condition.  All you need is a little extra room in your home and heart!
