Promoting Animal Care and Kindness (P.A.C.K.)

PACK (Promoting Animal Care and Kindness) isan exciting partnership designed for children and their adult mentors involved in Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metro Milwaukee. Through Big Brothers Big Sisters, children who need it most -- including those living in a single parent home, growing up in poverty or coping with parental incarceration – are paired with an adult mentor. The “Big” and “Little” attend monthly group activities held at the Wisconsin Humane Society to introduce them to a variety of animals including dogs, cats, small mammals and more. Through positive, hands-on learning experiences, PACK aims to help children develop empathy, compassion and respect for living things and form stronger bonds with animals, their peers and mentors.

Children and their adult mentors are referred through Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metro Milwaukee. There is no fee for the program. For more information, please call 414-431-6153.
