Read to Rover
The Wisconsin Humane Society has been working with
Milwaukee Public Libraries since 2001 on the highly
successful Read to Rover program. WHS and MPL have
partnered to create a place where children with
reading difficulties get an opportunity to read
aloud to a supportive, non-judgmental listener,
a certified companion dog. Read to Rover has touched
many lives and helped children reduce their apprehension
of reading.
