Announcing the Wisconsin Humane Society's
Be Kind to Animals Week
Poster, Poetry, and Photography Contest
"Speak out for Animals"
Be Kind to Animals Week is the oldest celebrated week in the nation! Recognized officially by the 108th Congress in 1915, this special week continues to remind us of the things animals do to enhance our lives.
Joining the celebration of Be Kind to Animals Week, May 6-12, 2012, hundreds of kids participated in our annual contests! It’s a wonderful way for young people to spread the word about being kind to animals and express themselves creatively. The theme for 2012 is "Speak out for Animals!"
Each year, the Wisconsin Humane Society encourages young people to join our celebration by entering our Poster, Poetry and Photography Contests. We have added TAGXEDO (word cloud) and MIXBOOK categories this year. These interactive online tools are great ways for students to incorporate 21st Century technologies into their project creation.
