Wisconsin Humane Society Celebrates
Sharing the World with Animals

MILWAUKEE – Meet some local heroes at the Wisconsin Humane Society’s “Be Kind to Animals” recognition ceremony that honors local children and members of the community who have exemplified kindness to animals. Emcee Jane Matenear from 99.1 WMYX will be presenting awards for Humane Educator of the Year, Humane Hero, Animal Hero and winners of the poster, poetry and photography contests.

You’ll also have the opportunity to meet three canine heroes who saved their guardians’ lives. Mia risked her life to alert her family to a blazing fire; Katie protected her family from robbers and Oscar saved his guardian’s life when he went into diabetic shock.

WHEN: Sunday, May 3, 2009, 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.
