Homeless Cats Seeking Homes
Dozens of kittens, cats and petite Packers looking for homes
MILWAUKEE – The Wisconsin Humane Society has an unusually large population of adoptable cats right now and staff members hope to have a busy weekend of cat adoptions.
“We’ve seen an increase in adoptions overall in 2009, but the last few weeks, we’ve seen an increased number of cat and kitten surrenders. Hopefully, a lot of these wonderful cats will find loving families this weekend,” said Angela Speed, director of community relations. “It’s truly a great time to adopt – there are so many interesting personalities and breeds in adoption right now!”
To raise the profile of all the adoptable cats and kittens, WHS has named them all after the players from their favorite NFL team, the Green Bay Packers. These cats include Aaron Rodgers, Donald Driver and Curly Lambeau. All cat adopters will go home with a free kitty prize, while supplies last.
The adoption fee for kittens under 1 year is $100.00 and the fee for adult cats is waived. Included in all cat adoptions are: spay/neuter, first Distemper vaccination, initial deworming, FeLV testing, a certificate for a free veterinary exam, a microchip implant, and a 30 day gift of
ShelterCare Pet Insurance.
