Angel
and Sox's Life on the Farm
MILWAUKEE
? Angel and Sox were two of dozens of animals
living on a farm. They were part of a colony of
working animals until their services were no longer
needed. Instead of getting a pink slip, Angel and
Sox got the shock of their life ? their guardian
was going to shoot them!
Luckily, a family
member learned the guardian's plan to shoot little
Angel and Sox, so she brought the kittens to the
Wisconsin Humane Society for a second chance at
life. After a thorough medical evaluation by one
of WHS' veterinarians, it was discovered that both
kittens had an upper respiratory infection. WHS
vet staff could only guess the emotional trauma
these kittens experienced during the last moments
of their time spent with their guardian.
Angel and Sox
spent six weeks with a loving foster parent while
they recovered from their respiratory infection
and gained enough weight to be deemed adoptable.
Today, the kittens are alive and healthy ? this
is all that matters to WHS staff. Angel and Sox
are seeking a home where they can feel loved and
safe from harm's way.
