Help Keep Hope Alive for Animals
MILWAUKEE – The Wisconsin Humane Society is asking the community to help keep hope alive for animals this holiday season. Lights will be shining brightly during the 2007 Hope’s Light celebration in honor of living or deceased animals as well as the memory of a person or in honor of a living person. The Hope’s Light celebration will be held Sunday, December 2 from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Wisconsin Humane Society, 4500 W. Wisconsin Avenue in Milwaukee.
In addition to the WHS building and grounds being brilliantly illuminated, the celebration promises many special attractions, including: a visit from Sparkle and Shine, WHS’ guests of honor; tours of WHS; a ribbon-pulling ceremony to introduce Lorraine’s Garden; and appearances by Tuffy the Screech Owl and Talon the Peregrine Falcon. Lights can be purchased for $20 each by calling (414) ANIMALS.
