3-Legged Kitten Waiting for a New Home

MILWAUKEE – Roberto arrived at the Wisconsin Humane Society dragging his rear leg behind him. The stray kitty wasn’t even five pounds and struggled to move around without feeling terrible pain. At only 5-months, Roberto had experienced some traumatic event that resulted in a serious injury.

Wisconsin Humane Society veterinarians discovered that Roberto’s rear leg was badly broken and could not be healed with a cast or even specialized surgery. Roberto would have to have his leg amputated. Because of his youth and the terrific medical care he received at WHS, Roberto’s wound healed very quickly and he is now available for adoption.

Roberto may need to take it a little easy for a while, but he’s a feisty fellow with a lot of energy and tremendous courage. He is affectionate with strangers and loves to play. His energy rivals any four-legged feline!

Roberto is full of love and life, and seeking a guardian who recognizes that a missing leg won't slow him down. This precious kitten is now searching for a new and loving place to call home.

For more information about Roberto, please call the Wisconsin Humane Society at (414) ANIMALS. Additional information about the Wisconsin Humane Society can be obtained by visiting www.wihumane.org.
