Racine, Wis. – On Thursday, January 30 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., the Wisconsin Humane Society Racine Campus is hosting an open house for people interesting in becoming foster volunteers. Attendees will enjoy light refreshments, a brief presentation, and an opportunity to meet animals in need of foster homes.

“Baby kittens, puppies and animals with injuries or illness heal so much faster in a home,” said Alison Kleibor, the director of the WHS Racine Campus. “Expanding our foster capacity is a key strategy in our ability to save more lives. We really hope to have a good turnout at next week’s event.”

To ensure enough seating, the shelter is requesting that prospective attendees email Alison at with the number attending. Interested people with other animals at home should bring current vaccination records for their animals.
