Record attendance expected at Wisconsin Humane Society’s “Tails on the Trail” 5K run/1-mile walk

MILWAUKEE - Join the Wisconsin Humane Society for the 5th annual “Tails on the Trail” 5K run/1-mile walk on Saturday, June 24 from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Veterans Park. More than 1,000 dogs and 1,800 people – record attendance for the event - are expected to turn out for Saturday’s fundraiser.  Hank the Ballpark Pup will be leading the way!  

What:        Tails on the Trail run/walk to benefit Wisconsin Humane Society

When:        Saturday, June 24 from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.  

8:00 – 9:30 a.m.            Walk-up registration and check-in

9:30 a.m.                      Run/walk kick-off 

10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.   Vendors, music, food, activities: lure coursing, agility course, etc.

11:30 a.m.                     Doggie fashion show 


Where:      Veterans Park, Milwaukee’s lakefront

 Photo ops:  More than 1,000 dogs! Hank the ballpark pup, infamous doggie fashion show at 11:30 a.m.; lure coursing, agility course and more!  


The fun continues after the walk with festivities for everyone, including beer & food, vendors, lure coursing, live music, a doggie fashion show, two agility courses, interactive games for dogs, and much more. All proceeds benefit animals in need at the Wisconsin Humane Society, the largest and oldest shelter in the state. Dogs must be vaccinated, well-socialized, and leashed at all times. Please, for their own safety, leave your cats at home.  



Registration Fees (includes 5th Anniversary T-shirt):
5K RUN:  Adults $35, Kids 6-15 $25  
1-MILE WALK Adults $30, Kids 6-15 $20  
Children 5 and under - free  (with registered adult)
