WHS hosts Paws & Claws Gala 2017

MILWAUKEE – Where else can you meet dogs in tuxedos and cats in ball gowns? Benefiting the Wisconsin Humane Society, the Paws & Claws Gala will be held Saturday, October 21 at the Pfister Hotel in Milwaukee.

Beginning at 5:30 p.m., the annual fundraiser for the Wisconsin Humane Society boasts an impressive array of silent and live auction items, a fabulous five-star dinner, animal greeters, and a program emceed by Ted Perry of FOX6 News. The theme of this year’s gala is “Furry Tales Do Come True” and it is co-chaired by Moshe & Debra Katz, Bill Morley & Jim Schleif, and Laura Lutter Cole.

The event is the largest-grossing fundraising event of the year for WHS, which receives no general government funding and is not part of any national umbrella group. Last year’s event raised $290,000 and WHS hopes to surpass that number this year.
