Why the animal is being rehomed: Gertie was part of the great puppy escape back in August, 2017. We volunteered to foster her.The others that helped save her have not found a place for her yet. Gertie really needs a forever home!
What are your two favorite things about Gertie? She loves chewing antlers, toys and running at the park. She jumps for joy when her food bowl comes to her. She's a great dog to walk and loves meeting other dogs and people. She's a happy dog.
How long have you had Gertie? We have been fostering her since August, 2017.
Where did you get Gertie? From friends that were part of the Great Puppy Escape. She was rescued from an apartment in which she was kenneled 24/7 for at least 6 months while there. (The tennants did hand her over by the way.)
Has Gertie ever bitten someone? No
What, if any, medical or behavioral concerns does Gertie have? She has never had any professional training, surfing kitchen counters (a gate is up to prevent that here). She barks when she assumes someone has her toys, but doesn't approach other dog.
