My two favorite things about Squash: Squash has such a big personality. He is very vocal and resent and doesn't run and hide when you have quests over. He likes to be around you, and other people. Also, he is so fluffy and adorable.

Current Location: St Francis, WI
Is Squash spayed or neutered? yes
Is Squash up to date on vaccinations? yes
Why the animal is being rehomed: I took in a cat from my sister after she could no longer keep him. I already had a cat. While both of the cats are very sweet by themselves, they do not get along with each other. I've tried acclimating them for six months now and it isn't working. Squash needs to be an only pet.
What are your two favorite things about Squash? Squash has such a big personality. He is very vocal and resent and doesn't run and hide when you have quests over. He likes to be around you, and other people. Also, he is so fluffy and adorable.
How long have you had Squash? I have had this cat now for 6 months, but he had been in my family for about 10 years.
Where did you get Squash? I got Squash from my sister.
Has Squash ever bitten someone? No
What, if any, medical or behavioral concerns does Squash have? Squash drinks a lot of water, which then causes him to urinate a lot. I suspected he may be diabetic and had his blood tested in January of 2018. The blood work showed he is perfectly healthy, he just likes water. SO his litter box needs regular cleaning.
Has Squash lived with other animals? Yes
If yes to the above, which animals has Squash lived with? He grew up with two other cats, one was a sister, and the other another female DLH that is about 6 years old. Then about 4 years ago my sister brought a puppy into the mix - a pit-bull mix.
Has Squash actively fought with other animals in the home? No
If yes to the above, please explain the circumstances: When I introduced Squash into my home with my other cat, who is also male, the two did not blend well. Even with months of efforts and pheromone sprays and room swapping and supervised introductions... Squash needs to be the only pet.
Does/did Squash hide from other animals in the home? No
How does Squash interact with animals outside of the home? Squash has always been an indoor cat only and has never been exposed to animals outside of the home.
Are you requiring that Squash not go into a family with certain types of pets? Yes
If yes to the above, please explain which types of pets you are restricting: Does better alone.
Has Squash lived with any children under 18? No
Does/did Squash hide or avoid children in the home? No
Does/did Squash display any forms of aggression toward children in the home? No
Are you requiring that Squash not go into a family with children under a certain age? No
Squash's overall activity level: Moderately active
What should the next family should know about Squash: If there is a big change in his life (like if you move), or if you ignore cleaning his litter box to the point where he gets mad, he will take what I call a 'statement dump' outside of the box somewhere, to let you know he is upset. Likely, the first night you have him in your home he will take one of his statement dumps. After that, and assuming you clean his box, he will be fine. He is very sweet and loves to be by you. He likes being pet and played with, buy he doesn't like being held very much. He will play bite with you, but not hard. Usually he just tries o grab your hand with his paws so he can stick your finger in his mouth, but not bite it. He is weird. Big personality. He will sit behind you on the couch and chew on your hair, and sometimes your head. It isn't painful or aggressive, he is just peculiar. I wish I could keep the little guy. I love him. I can send a good sized, enclosed litter box with him and whatever of his brand of food I have left when he gets chosen.
