If yes to the above, please explain the circumstances: She bit our infant daughter when she crawled to her while she was eating
What, if any, medical or behavioral concerns does Rhea have? Rhea is extremely loving and affectionate. I truly would not characterize her as aggressive. However, she is a very nervous dog. How does Rhea interact with animals outside of the home? Gets nervous if she is on a leash and another dog comes near her. Would not run to “attack” another dog. But does growl and nip if they come near her.

If yes to the above, please explain the circumstances: Recently bit our daughter for the first time while she was eating. No aggression shown towards her in the past. Typically just avoids her.
Are you requiring that Rhea not go into a family with children under a certain age? Yes
If yes to the above, please list your restrictions: Cannot go to a home with children under 5. Rhea is not aggressive towards humans. However, because of her nervous nature, she becomes aggressive with children who’s actions are quick and unpredictable.
Does Rhea have any fears? No
Rhea's overall activity level: Sedentary/low energy
How does Rhea usually get exercise? Playing while tethered outside, Playing indoors,
What should the next family should know about Rhea: Rhea has been a wonderful dog. She is extremely loving and affectionate. She is such an easy dog. Very low maintenance. Only needs to go outside a few times a day to go potty. Does not require lots of attention or play time. Content to just lay around. Loves to cuddle. However, she is very nervous. Needs to be in a home with older children who will not be intimidating to her. Is ok with other animals in the home, both cats and dogs. However, will get aggressive towards outside animals that approach her while on a leash. My husband and I have no experienced any acts of aggression in the 9 years we’ve owned her until our daughter recently became more mobile. We love Rhea and it is heartbreaking knowing we have to rehome her. We would love to see her go to a wonderful, loving home where she can enjoy her remaining years in peace. We could not fathom bringing her to a shelter. Would love to take this approach first and see if we can find Rhea a new forever home that will better suit her needs. Please contact me if interested or for any further questions.
