Foster Home Volunteers

Volunteer as a Foster Parent for puppies, kittens, dogs or cats in your home! The animals may be too young for adoption, may be recovering from an illness or minor injury or they may need behavioral training. Whatever the case, Foster Parents provide necessary care to animals in need by allowing them time to recuperate. This position requires a desire to nurture and train the animals. Foster animals may need to come back to the shelter for occasional check-ups until the animal is ready for adoption. The commitment for foster placement is normally for 2-7 weeks at a time. A staff member or volunteer will set up a time to meet in your home to discuss the program and to answer questions prior to your first placement. You will then be contacted as animals become available for fostering. In addition, all personal companion animals must be current on vaccinations.
