BMO - Video!

Meet BMO, a 3-month-old kitten who loves to play with her sisters Cake and Chocoberry and crunchy balls. Her favorite place to sleep is in a comfy cat pillow with Cake. They really help each other out. BMO is a very sweet kitty.

However, BMO is also a special needs kitty. She was born with CH (cerebellar hypoplasia) which is a condition that affects balance and coordination. It can cause jerky movements, tremors, and head bobbing. A cat with CH often falls down and has trouble walking or cannot seem to walk at all. CH has no cure but does not get worse with age. No medications are required for CH.

BMO has a moderate to severe form of CH. She will need modifications made in her home environment. She cannot walk, but rather pulls herself and flops toward her destination. She can eat, drink, and use the litter box with some slight modifications. Her foster mom can share more ideas with you about what will best meet BMO's needs.

Every animal is an individual and WHS works hard to make great matches for our animals and adopters.  Some animals may have placement restrictions or requirements established by WHS based on shelter observations and previous home histories.  When meeting with your adoption counselor, they review each animal’s medical, behavior, and placement needs with you to help you find an animal who is compatible with your home environment and your lifestyle.  There are no time limits at WHS, all animals in adoption have as long as it takes to find a new loving home.  Stop in and speak with our adoption counseling team today – we look forward to meeting with you.
