This cat tested positive for Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV) on 12/17/24. This is a contagious viral disease of cats only. Owner/guardian should be willing to work with their private veterinarian to keep him healthy as FeLV will make him more susceptible to other diseases. Ideally the owner/guardian will not have other cats to prevent the spread of FeLV to other cats in the household. A home with other cats currently infected with FeLV is also ideal. The owners/guardians are responsible for all further treatment/finances related to these conditions.
