Willy

It was apparent Willy was special when, after his first day with us, I reached out my hand to him in his hiding spot, and he placed his little paw in my palm. ??

Willy is a shy, but super affectionate, young boy who still seems to be finding his way. If you are looking for a cat who "does his own thing," you will want to keep searching. But if you're looking for a little love bug to be your shadow, and you're willing to show that same fondness back, Willy may be your guy.
Willy has no personal space boundaries. He loves to lay on his people (I'm pretty sure he would crawl inside skin if he could), and gaze into their eyes as he receives pets and rubs. He's also not shy about communicating when he isn't getting the attention he needs with sweet little meows and head bumps.
At our house Willy eats well, uses his litter box like a champ, and is a fan of the scratching post. He has not met our resident dogs or cat yet, but he does hear their shenanigans outside of the foster room and doesn't seem to be bothered by it.

Every animal is an individual and WHS works hard to make great matches for our animals and adopters.  Some animals may have placement restrictions or requirements established by WHS based on shelter observations and previous home histories.  When meeting with your adoption counselor, they review each animal’s medical, behavior, and placement needs with you to help you find an animal who is compatible with your home environment and your lifestyle.  There are no time limits at WHS, all animals in adoption have as long as it takes to find a new loving home.  Stop in and speak with our adoption counseling team today – we look forward to meeting with you.
